Last year I talked about my fave podcasts here and I now wanted to gush about the new LGBTQIA podcasts I’ve been listening to. I find that most of them come from the US but I was happy to listen to the short series from the National Trust about the LGBT stories behind their properties in the UK. If you have any UK LGBTQIA podcast recs, please let me know!
On the US front, I’m absolutely loving the Queery podcast where standup comic Cameron Esposito talks to someone from the community during an hour. It’s incredible the variety and depth the conversations are simply by being in this format and all episodes have been fascinating. I love how diverse the guests have been and how much it shows the glorious plurality of our community. Nancy is also amazing and I’ve really enjoyed listening to their Out At Work series about the experience of LGBTQIA people being out (or not) at work. I’m also just making my way through the Food 4 Thot episodes and I love the format!
Food 4 Thot is a new podcast discussing sex, relationships, race, identity, what we like to read, & WHO we like to read.
BFFs Kathy Tu and Tobin Low are super queer, super fun and ready to take over your podcast feed. Join them for provocative stories and frank conversations about the LGBTQ experience today. Because everyone’s a little bit gay…
Queery with Cameron Esposito
Sit in on an hour long-conversation between host and standup comic, Cameron Esposito, and some of the brightest luminaries in the LGBTQ+ family. Queery explores individual stories of identity, personality and the shifting cultural matrix around gender, sexuality and civil rights.
National Trust: Prejudice and Pride
This is a new six-part podcast series, presented by broadcaster and author Clare Balding, which explores the lost and hidden LGBTQ stories from our places as we mark the 50th anniversary of the partial de-criminalisation of homosexuality.
